Seafloor Spreading Observed

In April 2024, scientists observed the sea floor split wide open. Earlier that year, in February, marine geophysicist Jean-Yves Royer of the French National Center of Scientific Research deployed the Observatory with Hydro-Acoustics and Geodesy near Amsterdam Island on the Southeast Indian Ridge between Australia and Antarctica. This is part of the French Southern and Antarctic Lands and includes the Kerguelen Islands, MacDonald and Heard Islands. Seafloor spreading is not a slow, gradual creep. Instead, tectonic tension builds over decades before being unleashed in rare, violent bursts — discrete episodes the researchers call "quantum" events. The team built an observatory consisting of five autonomous hydrophones positioned to monitor the entire Saint Paul-Amsterdam volcanic plateau, hoping to catch one of these cataclysmic episodes. The event in April observed that the ridge axis failed and let the accumulated magma underneath propagate into the oceanic crust. Vast sheet-like intrusions of magma, known as dikes, tore through the crust in less than two hours, injecting an estimated 150 million cubic meters of magma into the crust. As the dikes spread, they triggered earthquakes, reawakened long-dormant faults — fractures where blocks of Earth's crust can suddenly slip past one another — and drained the magma reservoir beneath the ridge. As a result, the seafloor above it collapsed very rapidly. At its peak, the ridge was pulling apart at 5 cm every minute — nearly half a million times faster than its long-term average. The findings were published in Nature. If we go to the Biblical account of Noah's flood, in Genesis 7:11, it says that in the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep were broken up and the windows of heaven were opened. Perhaps this April event is a microcosm of what happened on a macro scale during the flood of Noah. Creationists have two models of how that happened: Catastrophic Plate Tectonics and the Hydroplate Theory.

What influence did Christianity have upon the founding of the United States of America? The Declaration of Independence appeals to the rights given by our Creator to pursue life, liberty and happiness, that all men are created equal and that they are self-evident. Romans 1:20 says that the invisible things of God from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse. The Declaration also appeals to the Supreme Judge of the world to establish that the colonies had the right to be Free and Independent states. There was a whole list of grievances against the King of England where he abused his power against the colonies, and that justified the need to separate from his rule. The preacher George Whitfield held meetings in all the colonies and spoke of the need for repentance and receiving Christ for salvation. The colonies were also under the influence of the John and Charles Wesley, Roger Williams of Rhode Island, and the heritage left by the Pilgrims and Puritans in Massachusetts. John Adams, in the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts wrote, “It is the right as well as the Duty of all men in society publicly, and at stated reasons to worship the Supreme Being, the great Creator and preserver of the Universe. And no subject shall be hurt, molested or restrained in his person, Liberty or Estate, for worshipping God in the manner and season most agreeable to the Dictates of his conscience , or for his religious profession or sentiments, provided that he doth not disturb the public peace, or obstruct others in their religious worship. He goes on to say that the order and preservation of civil government essentially depend upon piety, religion and morality. The entire document argues for Christian morality to influence society and Christian teaching, and schools be set up to preserve the basis of government. In the first amendment of the bill of rights in the Constitution, it reads, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and the petition the government for a redress of grievances." Jefferson’s letter to the Danbury Baptists: To messers. Nehemiah Dodge, Ephraim Robbins, & Stephen S. Nelson, a committee of the Danbury Baptist association in the state of Connecticut. Gentlemen The affectionate sentiments of esteem and approbation which you are so good as to express towards me, on behalf of the Danbury Baptist association, give me the highest satisfaction. my duties dictate a faithful and zealous pursuit of the interests of my constituents, & in proportion as they are persuaded of my fidelity to those duties, the discharge of them becomes more and more pleasing. Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between Man & his God, that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship, that the legitimate powers of government reach actions only, & not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should "make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof," thus building a wall of separation between Church & State. Adhering to this expression of the supreme will of the nation in behalf of the rights of conscience, I shall see with sincere satisfaction the progress of those sentiments which tend to restore to man all his natural rights, convinced he has no natural right in opposition to his social duties. I reciprocate your kind prayers for the protection & blessing of the common father and creator of man, and tender you for yourselves & your religious association, assurances of my high respect & esteem. Th Jefferson Jan. 1. 1802. This letter shows that the intent was that government has no right to dictate the affairs of the church, or that there was a state church. Instead it showed that the independent morality of the people was what caused the government to be good.
Molech, Baal, and Ashtoreth

Molech, Baal, and Ashtoreth

Our culture in recent years has fallen victim to the philosophies of the ancient gods of Canaan. The devil hasn’t changed his tactics, and the pagan practices that Israel fell into are the same ones that our culture has adopted. When I was young, I was brought up in a Christian home but began to ask why there were so many other religions. I reasoned that if the God of the Bible was who He claimed to be, that He was powerful enough to show himself to me in a way that I could understand. I also asked God for wisdom and the ability to discern what the truth was. As a boy, we had a set of Bible Story books that paraphrased the scriptures with illustrations, and that was helpful for me to understand what the Bible was talking about. I also wanted to know about Jesus Christ and the plan of salvation, and I desired that for myself. I went to high school in the 1960’s and observed that there were many who rejected Christianity, and I compared their lifestyles to the loving Christian family I was brought up in, and despite challenges from evolution being taught, I chose to believe the biblical account of creation. In the Bible story books, the Old Testament stories of Israel in the land of Canaan talked about the false gods of Molech, Baal and Ashtoreth. There are parallels to these gods in our culture. Molech was the god of human sacrifice, and babies were sacrificed on the red-hot altar held in the arms of Molech. Our modern equivalent is abortion. Baal was the intellectual god, that of nature worship. We have a modern equivalent in New Age worship, extreme environmentalism and evolution. Ashtoreth was the goddess of the sexual revolution and perversion. It is interesting the pushback we get when we point out the evils that result from these pagan practices.

The Ice Age: Where Creationism Shines

Does the creation model explain the ice age? Meteorologist Michael Oard says yes, emphatically so! In fact, this is an area where the creation model really shines. A combination of warm oceans and barren cold continents provides the engine needed to produce mountainous continental ice sheets. Such a mechanism is impossible today under uniformitarian conditions. Quick frozen mammoths indicate a rapid climate change.
